Was the Industrial Revolution Good or Bad?

There are many good things that happened during the Industrial Revolution. The Industrial Revolution changed our lives dramatically. Technology advanced greatly and our lives today are so much different than they were before the 18th century.

"Man works with different, safer, and faster making machines. Because of laws we consume different goods and services. We enjoy far better health, more leisure, and greater mobility than people of earlier age." Instead of the local doctor we have hospitals. Instead of crowded apartments we can live in luxury with comfortable homes. Instead of walking to work, people can now take trains or drive which is alot faster and more convienent  Some laws were made because of the bad working conditions. The Child Labor Law was made so that children didn't have to work 16 hours a day. Factories are now inspected so people don't loose fingers, arms or even their lives. A minumum wage law was made so people could make enough money to support themselves. Sanitation laws were made to make the city streets cleaner and the environment a healthier place to live. "Job opportunities and price decrease improved the lives of the people, giving them a chance to be part of society and be able to purchase products at a reasonable price."

From a christian perspective I believe that the Industrial Revolution was good to the point that Gods Word could be spread throughout the world faster through communication and transportation. Acts 1:8b "ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." Jesus commanded his diciples to preach the gospel unto the uttermost parts of the earth. But its bad in the sense that all this new technology is sometimes used for sin. Genesis 6:5 "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."
